If you google Mood Swings, then the first response you get is the following dictionary definition:
“an abrupt and unaccountable change of mood.”
I don’t like this. Unaccountable means that it is unable to be explained, and thus unable to be controlled or treated. This is just not true!
Here at 30 PLUS NuWoman we know that Mood Swings are the result of a hormonal imbalance (that is when you have an unequal balance of Oestrogen and Progesterone in your body) and know that there are ways to treat this. 30 PLUS NuWoman contains a number of natural ingredients that help restore normal hormonal balance and get you back to feeling yourself again. But there are a number of things you can also do while taking 30 PLUS NuWoman to help yourself:
So without further ado, here are our top 6 tips for handling those hormones, and avoiding mood swings:
- Get Enough Sleep – Although scientists are still not sure why we sleep, we are sure that it is vitally important to the body. A lack of sleep is often the cause of extreme mood swings (much like in children). Try and sleep around 8 hours a day, and importantly try and keep a routine.
- Regulate Alcohol – Ok, before you stop reading, it says “regulate” not “stop”! Not only does alcohol interfere with sleep, but it also influences mood. Think about those days (you would rather not remember) when you have had a few too many the night before. My guess is you probably weren’t the happiest person in the morning. So keep it regulated!
- Regulate Caffeine – Let’s not forget that caffeine is a drug. As a stimulant it effects our central nervous system and gives us a boost. But what goes up must come down, which can result in mood swings. So regulate how much tea, coffee or soft drinks you consume to minimise the down.
- A Balanced Diet – Yes I know, a balanced diet is pretty much a cure for everything. But seriously “you are what you eat”. If you eat excessive carbohydrates and processed food then not only will you become sluggish and gain weight, but you will also upset the natural hormonal balance of your body.
- Get Some Exercise – I’m not talking about a marathon, or pumping weights here. But you should aim to get around 20 – 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise a day. That might be going for a walk, doing some squats or yoga. Exercise releases endorphins in our brain, which are the “happy chemicals” that make us feel great.
- Take 30 PLUS NuWoman – It has all the essential ingredients you need to maintain a normal hormonal balance! Find out more here.
